Glazed Apple Cinnamon Bread

Sometimes life takes a turn and you just have to go with the flow. My turn involves a little fluffball named Finnegan and he has been monopolizing all of my time as of late. For the last 3 weeks my life has been all about puppies and walks, more walks, treats, sitting on the…

Oh man—this bread looks amazing, I love how you stuff it, and chop it, and reform it! What a texture, and the first thing I thought of was French toast!

The Cruller ~ A New Taste Sensation

My life is all about puppy. I smell perpetually like a puppy, I’m covered in fluff and fur most of the time, and lately I have spent more time on the floor than on a chair or in the kitchen. My back isn’t used to so much floor time. I can stand in…

I want to sit in your kitchen and eat crullers with you.

    From one finger-licker to another.

Milk & Honey has summed it up nicely. Eating crullers in the kitchen = awesomeness.

They remind me of little round churros which could never be a bad thing. Yumminess.

Carré au Sucre à la Crème ~ Gluten-Free or Not

I have an announcement to make. I’m half French Canadian. I actually think of myself as 100% francophone, but that’s how I feel on the inside most of the time, so why not. There is no denying that part of me is of British and Scottish descent, but those parts of my personality usually…

These squares look DIVINE, Michelle! I love baking and love French Canadian desserts for the same reasons as you :-) What would life be without fresh butter & cream, pure maple syrup, and brown sugar!?! LOL Oh yes, and wonderful “Pain de ménage” (IE. artisan, crusty white bread for those of you who do not speak French)

I LOve Pinterest which is how I found this recipe and your lovely blog. I’m French Canadian by the way, and have the same problem trying to get recipes from my mom or other family members ~ but mostly it’s because they keep them in their heads from when they’re young and often don’t measure anything precisely! Yet everything they make turns out delicious (and you end up with wonderful variations of recipes!).

Thanks for posting this, since I had never come across it before and cannot wait to try it!

Have a wonderfully sweet day, Michelle!

    Caramel Swirl Marshmallows

There are those days when you just have the burning desire to make marshmallows. Sometimes those marshmallows need to be swirled with caramel, then dipped in semi-sweet chocolate and sprinkled with homemade pecan butter toffee. Can I hear an amen? At first they were supposed to be just plain caramel swirl marshmallows, but after…
